Corporate responsibility is not just a “nice to have” for us, or the new ‘buzz word’ around town – it is a statement of intent, of the ethics and responsibility that all of us must demonstrate towards society. Our fundamental raison d’être is to innovate, develop and deliver toys and games that can make a difference in children’s lives, and create a healthy, playful method of learning. And while we go about achieving this, it is very important to us that the path we take is one of highest degree of ethics, a zero-tolerance policy towards irresponsible employment practices, and of contributing to the society in equal measure what it has, so graciously, given us. We work with numerous not-for-profit organizations as well as schools for the underprivileged and specially challenged to develop toys that specifically suit varied needs – be it autism, visual impairment, hearing impairment, or spasticity. Under our SkillofunSmile program, we, in turn, provide toys and puzzles from our catalog that we know go such a long way in aiding and enhancing intrinsic learning and developmental parameters, to under-funded not-for-profit organizations. We understand how difficult it is for the specially challenged of underprivileged backgrounds to merge in mainstream life and earn a dignified living. Within our workforce, therefore, we also employ people with special needs and help them inculcate skills to remove their dependencies and become self-reliant.
